The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of the Police Officers who have died in the line of duty. The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial and Museum.

The Police Unity Tour began eleven years ago with eighteen members who raised over $18,000.  Over nine hundred law enforcement officers participated in the 2007 Police Unity Tour, and raised $1,150,000.  In the eleven years of the tour's existence, approximately $4,300,000 has been raised.  Each rider is responsible for raising $1,800 in order to participate.
